This morning, the 3.5 year old asked, “Mom, why you make bwonies and cake ewery day?”

Startled the child who requested said “bwonies” for breakfast would have such an unlikely inquiry, I responded, “What do you mean?”
“Because it’s not healthy for us!” she advised. (To my credit, I’m making egg-heavy crepes this morning and I made oats & eggs for breakfast yesterday).

Not really knowing how to respond sans my morning coffee I’ve yet to brew, I inflated my voice with enthusiasm and stammered out, “Oh, well . . . It’s still Easter!!!!!” followed by an exclamatory, “We’re an Easter people and hallelujah is our song!!” Pro wannabe tip: If you don’t have the words and you’re feeling speechless, quote wiser, holier people.
“This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118) (We sang Psalm 118:24) on repeat together as I made crepes. Have a blessed Easter Thursday!
